3. Civil War

I saw it on the first day when it premiered in theaters over two years ago. A good, eye-opening movie for these dark times.

From Wikipedia: "The film made $10.8 million on its first day, including $2.9 million from Thursday night previews (a record for an A24 release). It went on to debut to $25.7 million, surpassing Hereditary as the biggest opening weekend in A24's history as well as the studio's first film to top the box office."

I'm an avid moviegoer. This is an example of a movie that should ideally be seen in a movie theater on the biggest screen possible. I know most people stream nowadays but the immersive experience of a movie like Civil War just cannot be replicated at home.

Garland is definitely one of my favorite directors whose titles include Ex Machina, Civil War, and Warfare. He also wrote 28 Years Later and the other films in that series.
