9. I remember the days of Jackie Stiles in college setting

the world on fire with her scoring. A great many of those college games got played during the week, in the winter and some of the games pulled in way less than 1,000 for attendance. But Jackie and all of those young women played their hearts out like it was the most important game ever. I go back into the 1950's with women's AAU basketball teams.

The first women's pro leagues the players were lucky to ride in a vehicle with heat. Many times not paid or fed a meal. But they played their hearts out. I do have to say that I don't like to see some of the cheap "attitude" and cheap shots from the men's game come into the W and college game. The refs need to do much,. much better.
