but I am pretty certain that the following is true.

The first shot through the windshield was at such an angle ( from the photograph of the bullet hole in the windshield and the video of the shooter ) that the bullet struck Renee in the chest and right forearm. I am thinking that the second bullet didn't hit her at all OR the third one missed completely. In either event, the second or third shot ( the kill shot ) was FROM THE SIDE through the open drivers side window.

That shot ( either second or third one ) entered her head from the left side. I believe I understand the legal people saying that every pull of the trigger is considered a separate event, with different circumstances. The asshole shooter was NOT in any danger at the second and third shot... so therefore, if the kill shot was the second or third shot into her head... it was murder, period.

Even if she struck him with the vehicle causing him to shoot through the windshield, that does not justify killing her by shooting her again into her head as she was passing him. Not to mention that at the speed she was traveling, he didn't even get knocked down by that "4000 pound missile" while holding a gun in his right hand and a cell phone in his left.

He was there to show that "fucking bitch" that she needed to obey him, a very small prick of a man.
