Right now, Trump and some Republicans in Congress are pushing the SAVE Act, which would tightly restrict voting access. It’s part of a broader strategy of undermining public access to and trust in elections.

Christina Greer, associate professor of political science at Fordham University, says that Trump and the GOP "want to decrease the number of active citizens who can participate in their own democracy."
