Hakeem Jeffries is NOT Speaker of the House material. He's bright and he serves well but he simply does not have the personal magnetism that it would take to lead the entire body.
MY VOTE would be TED LIEU. He doesn't back down, he's a fighter and he'd be great at the helm. Here's an example of one of his top concerns:
"As a legislator, Ted has established himself as a leader on artificial intelligence; the environment; cybersecurity; civil liberties; foreign affairs and veterans. Time Magazine recognized Ted as one of the 100 Most Influential People in AI. He has spoken at a variety of AI conferences, including at Harvard and Cornell."
His questioning of Pam Bondi was a master class.
He's MY choice for Speaker.
