This time the electoral college wasn't as lopsided in that many Trump gains with Black and Latino and Asian voters were wasted in NY and CA.

In 16 Trump said Iraq was a stupid war and he wouldn't touch SS. Someone who could stab a fork in D orthodoxy that most people in the US don't agree with, might be enough for some re branding. We're gaining white and losing black and latino working class, can't win an election that way.
