there is a lot that happens in the county parties. Our county south of Houston now has a few different groups (in the population centers) that meet monthly. I have a couple of connections locally that I would direct folks to if they were interested in running, because I know those folks would have ideas for them. Have you touched base with local party officials, precinct chairs in the area, etc?
