(6,247 posts)* vote (or not-vote) in order to "punish" the Democrats, rather than to move the country closer to the things and ideals that they valued (presumably). These non-voters were the ones who complained that they needed something to vote FOR, not something to vote AGAINST... remember that? Well, it seems to be happening again. The kneecapping and sabotage from the past are happening all over again.
It's always the same thing... any variation on any of these themes: Oh dear, my house has a squeaky floor board... I think I'll burn it to the ground and start over. My car's tires are a little low, I think I'll push it off of a cliff. The Democrat isn't perfect, so I'll just throw my vote away on the Sarandon candidate. Oh, I didn't win my primary, I'll start my own People's Party and try to split the vote. Revolution!! (Or something.)
