especially if financial in nature. Is this really the best you can come up with? Because I doubt this applies to the vast majority who watch his show.

Cambridge English Dictionary - someone who praises powerful or rich people in a way that is not sincere, usually in order to get some advantage from them.

Oxford English Dictionary - Nowadays, “sycophant” is used almost exclusively to mean a person who tries to get ahead through obsequious agreement or flattery.
