In reply to the discussion: House votes 285-98 to denounce 'horrors' of socialism ahead of Mamdani-Trump meeting [View all]haele
(14,889 posts)42. So, is Congress finally holding Civics or Political economics classes for their Members?
The horrors of Socialism as practiced in Maoism and Stalinism...okay, I'm fine with being against stupid One Party or Autocratic Central Governments.
Oh, I know.... Let's do a resolution denouncing End Stage Capitalism as practiced by Fascists, Mobsters and Oligarchies, next.
Then we can go on to the high level corruption and horrors inherent in Theocracies and both Left and Right Radicalism.
Or just maybe, after the morning prayer service, have a two hour basic US Civics and Government Class every Tuesday and Thursday, instead of manning the phone banks for donations.

Oh, no! Not socialism! Someone might go to the library, a public school, mail a letter, ride a bus.

Ignorant vote put forth by ignoramuses. Democratic socialism is NOT Marxist/Communist socialism.

Do Trumpsters really denounce socialism? Not if there is money in it for them.
