5. Oddly enough, it might be to the GOP's political advantage TO impeach and convict him,

ahead of the mid-term elections, at least with independents, BUT----

that would probably cause much of their MAGGOT base voters to stay home for that election
(that is, those who were not already too lazy to vote without Trump on the ballot)

So YEAH, nothing will be done before the Democrats retake the House,
and even if they DO impeach him, conviction in the Senate is unlikely

(although in Trump's last impeachment over 'January 6th',
a good half-dozen Republican senators DID vote to convict him---
which was a FIRST over the previous two presidential impeachment trials
where NO senators had ever voted to convict a president of their own party!)
