FoxNews would have had to do lots of cooking, together with a couple fortuitous media acquisitions among other "providers" (which have actually happened since most of the aforementioned Democratic Presidential contenders) to tell the voting public what it thinks. Big money donors probably would have had to work their politicians. But yeah, I can see a situation where it "coulda." Sure, didn't happen to a white mom then, but it was possible. Allowing an armed group that kind of autonomy was bound to find this result.

BTW, I remember Democrats who supported the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Vietnam too, for that matter. LBJ appointed Hoover director of the FBI for life. It's not just Republicans. All kinds of nefarious shit can be laid at the feet of all two parties. Most recently Fetterman just came out supporting the acquisition of Greenland.*

One needs to be selective if one chooses to vote (or not). But mostly a blame game is worthless. What happened happened, it is what it is. Now what? Will the next Democrat eliminate I.C.E.? Will "blue voters" even think to demand it?
