Wait so the shooter wasn't even on the same floor???! [View all]

All this nonsense all over social media and the news broadcast about another “attempt on the president’s life” and the need to build the ballroom because venues like this just can’t handle the security needs of such an event and the suspect may have been stopped on a different floor than the president was located? I’m sorry I don’t consider that an assassination attempt. That’s a crazy person with a gun. If you aren’t even on the same floor of the building let alone the same room the security did its job.

By this definition how many assassination attempts were made on President Obama? Do we consider someone who mailed ricin to the White House to be an assassination attempt?
