(60,377 posts)OK, let me ponder the physics of this. Somebody fires a gun. The bullet strikes the bullet-proof vest of a Secret Service agent, but does not penetrate through to the man´s body, so he has no slug inside him. If the bullet did not penetrate through to his body, then it is still in the vest, and therefore accessible. The temperature at which a metal bullet would evaporate is high enough that the vest (and the guy wearing it) would have melted long before the bullet did. Ergo, the bullet did NOT disappear. It is still in the vest, or else, if already recovered, it is wherever it was ordered to be stored. Ergo, total cover up.
In addition to the wandering bullet, I have seen conflicting reports on the health of the vest-wearing agent. At first, he was "fine." Quickly treated from the bruise from the impact and then released. THEN he was badly injured, and was being treated at an unnamed location. The latest was, "what injured agent? Oh, THAT injured agent. I don't know, Why are you bothering me about this?" I.e. he was hit by gunfire from his trigger-happy colleagues, and you'll never hear that from us, so stop raising the subject.
If anyone is curious to know when the next "assassination attempt" will be, just check the next impeachment trial date, and the moment when even right-wing media says Trump is in danger of being convicted by two thirds of the Senate. That's when the next time will be--unless Melania serves him with divorce papers beforehand.
