Early 20's I, and a bunch of our relatives walked all the way down, (and back up) to under the GW Bridge by the Little Red Lighthouse to watch the Tall Ships sail up, past and then turn, and sail back down to Lower Manhattan.

They were so cool to see; each with different details.
Then at night we went down to see the fireworks at the south tip of Manhattan.

Sometimes I go to my sister's to watch the 4th's fireworks on TV. We used to go in person for decades. We're fireworks fans!

For all you pet owners - they can eliminate the big booms etc that scare your furbuds. It's the visuals for me.

We've seen fireworks when South Street Seaport used to have them.
We've traveled all the way down from the top of Manhattan by subway ( a long trip) to Coney Island (south Brooklyn) to see the fireworks on the beach on Fri summer's night after the Minor League high-A team of the Mets: The Brookyn Cyclones plays a game at the stadium down there!

Maybe I'll still do that if she invites me up; and pretend we're celebrating drumphf leaving the pResidecy!
