… are they alienating by encouraging everyone nationwide to make use of our contact info? How many—like me—get so pissed off that they throw up their hands and give nothing at all?

Surely, they’d get a better response if they begged ONLY within their specific areas. I mean seriously—why should someone in Florida care enough to send even $5 to a local candidate in Oregon, Alabama, Wisconsin, Texas, or New Mexico (I’ve gotten emails from all those places in the last two weeks, among others)?

All they’re looking at is that they need money, not whether it makes sense. The fact that it IS so easy to just add you to a database and that EVERYONE is using is the major problem. It’s just mindboggling that the DNC hasn’t thought this through any better than that.
