"we'll be greeted as liberators?" Well, it turns out that the people of Iran don't like being attacked, especially for no good reason. They're defending their homes and families. I think the world sees our invasion of Iran much like Russia's invasion of Ukraine. And maybe they are a lot more similar than we have noticed. Both invasions are about acquiring resources that don't belong to them. The Iran invasion is a much shorter conflict because Trump is looking at the polls every day and he sees how much damage this war is doing to his popularity. Also, Iran is on the other side of the world from us. Russia and Ukraine are next door neighbors. We would have a hell of a time going all the way over there and fighting them on their home turf. I assume someone explained all of this to Trump, but he probably didn't understand it.
