Human beings have two cerebral hemispheres. When they are in conflict, often due to a chemical imbalance, when I was young they called it a "nervous breakdown." ("They" being adults who were not familiar with mental illness.)

I think the conscious and unconscious energy from the two sides of a cultural/economic/political divide -- though the maga are not an equal half of citizens -- is causing a conflict that is prone to get good people out to "No Kings!" rallies, etc., while the maga cult becomes more frustrated.

In sociology, studies show that outbreaks of violent usually breaks out when a group believes their lives will "get better" when their leader is making promises he will not keep, rather than a group that feels helpless and hopeless. I think the failure of the felon to carry through on his promises is sparking the conflict in the maga brains.
