It looks beautiful when it is new-fallen, and I don't have to deal with it. But the roads are dangerous enough without snow. And after a few days just enough above freezing to melt the snow on the roads and nights cold enough to freeze it into muffler removaling chunks, the people falling and breaking hips on the ice, the tree branches breaking under the weight of a heavier than usual snow...

A lot of beautiful things are not worth the trouble.
