My cat Hillary Kitten is suddenly walking around sniffing everything [View all]

Not quite sure why. We lost our other kitty Zeke a little over 2 weeks ago. She seems ok,but I wonder if the sudden sniffing is related.
Anyone have a similar experience?

She's named Hillary Kitten because she showed up as a dumped cat 2 weeks before the 2016 election.
