Madigan admits that he put the squeeze on this guy to raise the salary of one of his ward bosses, and that he tried to get someone fired. It's also documented that the Metra guy was fired because he refused to accede to outside political pressure (in these cases and in an attempt to skirt the contracting process for a construction project, the Englewood flyover).

But I agree he's too powerful. That doesn't mean I don't think he's slime.
